Drip-off printing is broadly utilised when wanting to create a quality product, with special effects that are not overwhelming yet are still surprising. It is achieved with the simultaneous use of acrylic and water-based paints which, by repelling each other, coat the established area without mixing.
This is an elegant offset means of processing with special effects. Combing glossy and matte areas on the same sheet, this type of finish attracts the attention and is irresistible to the touch.
The opaque areas can have a satin or structured (“orange peel” in jargon) finish, for a pleasant and unusual tactile sensation. This effect is achieved in a single machine passage, even with up to 5 colours in-line, thanks to the use of two chemically-reacting paints.
